I know, I know … what could a DIY Ant Killer recipe have to do with working at home? Lots, actually.
If you snack a bit at your desk while working, crumbs are bound to get on the floor and it’s ant season, people! They are relentless little buggers, lol. And I don’t know about you, but I do not like being on a servicing call and feel a tickle running across my ankle and up my leg!

So for any of you work-at-homer's out there who are also a snack-a-doodle like me, here is a homemade ant spray that is all natural and chemical-free.
COMBINE THE FOLLOWING INGREDIENTS:
15 drops peppermint essential oil
10-15 drops tea tree essential oil
1/4 C. water
1/4 C. vodka (the vodka helps the essential oils mix together)
3 drops orange essential oil
Combine the ingredients in a plastic bowl and mix thoroughly.
Pour into a plastic spray bottle and store in a cool, dry place (like underneath your kitchen sink).
Spritz the affected area(s) by pointing the spray bottle downwards on any areas ants are seen.
If you wonder why I so highly recommend this combo spray, it's because it smells AWESOME (aromatherapy pick-me-up) - and - it not only clears out ants but discourages spiders and mice - two other unwelcome visitors this time of year.
